Portmarnock Padel at the British Padel Veterans Tournament in Birmingham
Barry and Dave were Runners Up in the British Padel Veterans Tournament in Birmingham last weekend. Brilliant performance. Well done lads.
What is your 2017 Padel Rating Target?
There are so many areas in the game that you can focus on. Debbie will be happy to get you on the road to great improvements.
Happy Birthday to our Padel Court.
The Portmarnock court was completed on the 22nd of December last year. We hope to progress with a second court for Portmarnock in 2017 subject to funding.
In order to make it easy to organise great games, the Centre will be introducing an online booking system shortly.
For 2017, it is planned to continue to offer generous discounts to members who wish to book the court. If you are a regular player, it really is worth joining the PSLC. You can download an application form here
You can also help to keep the 2017 price increase to a minimum by paying for the time you actually played on court. If you stay on court for longer than your booking, it would be really appreciated if you pay the balance due on return to Reception.
There will be new time slots of 1 hour in duration. There will also be a 90 minute slot available for less busy times (subject to ongoing review). We want everyone to enjoy the court, so we will listen to any feedback you may have on bookings. We are proud that we are continuing to offer the cheapest prices for Padel in Dublin.
British Padel Tour Winners
Dave and Barry had a huge win in the final of the BPT C section to become the first Irish men to win a BPT event. Dave plays at PSLC and Barry is based in France. Both are ex-international Irish Badminton players. Now they’re flying our flag in Padel.
Peter and his Welsh partner Paul Jenkins came 3rd in the same section.
If you missed our recent Open Day, don’t worry you can still have a trial

Thank you to everyone involved in putting on the British Padel Tour event in Bangor, Northern Ireland.
We had a great time playing Padel and meeting other Padel players. It was well organized and the awesome venue was very accommodating to the event. Well done to the finalists and winners of this weekend’s tournament who took home cash and prizes.
Thanks to Tom Murray, Ariane Murphy & Peter Vann and everyone at the British Padel Tour for organising and making this great effort to grow Padel in the region. Thanks too to Thomas Fegan of Eddie Irvine Sports for making us all welcome.
